The role:
The role consists for 70% on payroll tasks and 30% on other (non payroll) accounting tasks. In the first year the tasks include a transition project (starting in April) on the automatic input inclusion of payroll data working very closely with Human Resources. An output project has already started.
Administer the international payroll according to local legislation and corporate audit requirements, which is an ongoing process in making our International Payroll administration reliable and 100% accurate.
The team:
The Finance team in EAME consists of 40 professionals of which 28 are located near Amsterdam, the Netherlands. The Finance team is responsible for Credit Control, Collection, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Financial Planning & Analysis, Plant controlling, Accounting and Compliance.
The Accounting and Compliance team consists of 7 professionals who are responsible for US GAAP month-end reporting, statutory reporting, audits, VAT, pay-roll and (SOX) compliance for all the EAME legal entities.

De functie
• Complete responsibility for the payroll of 6 European countries (NL, UK, GE, SE, IT, ES)
- Collecting records for payroll changes, submitting to outsourced payroll provider
- Reviewing pay slips received by payroll provider
- Creating and booking of all payroll and payroll related journal entries in financial system
• Conduct close review and monitoring of records for payroll changes submitted to outsourced International Payroll provider, work in a highly collaborative environment;
• Prepare and distribute various payroll reports to applicable management after each payroll processing run;
• Coordinate forms for new hires (payroll e.g. pension- and medical insurance companies) to ensure proper reporting (SOX);
• Administering and maintaining master files related to payroll, pension, medical insurance and other employee benefits (may need to investigate any abnormalities);
• Prepare and coordinate all payroll related reconciliations such as salaries, pension, medical insurance, expats and other employee benefits;
• Support preparation of statutory accounts for payroll related accounts.

Functie eisen
• HBO degree with good understanding in Payroll Administration, and preferably PDL (Praktijk Diploma Loonadministratie). An accounting background and knowledge is required;
• At least 3-5 years experience with a payroll administration system (PDL level);
• Understanding of labour conditions and legislations of The Netherlands;
• Preferably experience and understanding of payroll issues in other European countries;
• Very good knowledge of and skills in Excel;
• Preferably working experience in an International organization;
• Good social and communication skills in English, verbally and in writing;
