General Ledger Accountant (vacaturenummer: 1206)

• Responsible for timely and accurate reporting of financial data for several countries
• Responsible for all accruals and prepayments
• Ensures all balance sheet reconciliations are accurate and timely reconciled
• Ensures consistency in and continuous improvement of the country specific and general accounting processes in the ESSC
• Ensures compliance with Corporate Finance Policies, SOX and US GAAP
• Collaborates with Internal Control for creation, changing and implementation of financial policies and procedures and financial controls
• Provides technical accounting support and guidance to improve processes.
• Monitors, challenges and specifies improvements to business systems and practices to ensure continual adequate control and proper measurement of business activities.
• Supports internal and external audits
• Reports on and comments upon Balance Sheet movements and related monthly P&L trends.
• Assist Regional Country Controllers in other day to day activities.
• Deliver ad hoc reports/analyses

Reporting structure:
• Reports to Regional Country Controller

Appropriate work experience of at least 2 to 5 years in a management accounting function. Experience in a Shared Services environment is preferable.

Required education:
• Higher education in accounting or finance with a strong accounting emphasis.
• Experience in reporting with the Hyperion Financial Management and ERP systems, SAP is a pre.

• Ability to speak another foreign language (French, Spanish, German, Italian, Polish)
